Hall of Fame Situation
In early September, 2008, Universal Pictures selected the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend to host a special screening of the film on September 18 that would be attended by the two main stars of the film — relative newcomer Rob Brown as well as acclaimed actor Dennis Quaid. Given the relatively short period of time the Hall of Fame had to prepare for the screening and the “red carpet” reception requested for the stars of the film, they called on Villing & Company, a longtime marketing services partner, to handle the media coordination of this unique event.

Villing Solution
In a span of just over a week, Villing & Company prepared an advisory that was sent to over 40 local and regional media outlets with appropriate follow-up phone calls; created and prepared press kits and even scheduled local media interviews in the days leading up to the event. That, in addition to hosting and directing the media out on the red carpet itself — where over 25 media credentials were requested.
