Facebook's population is larger than the U.S. and Mexico combined. Within two years, there were more entertainment apps in the iPhone App Store than on any other platform. The video game industry now generates more revenue than the music industry or Hollywood.

The tools of marketing are changing rapidly and traditional marketers are in danger of becoming irrelevant.

Over the past two months, we've built an iPhone app, customized our Facebook landing page and attended the high-tech SXSWi festival. Here's what we've learned.
