Iowa’s largest credit union, GreenState, is a long-time partner of Villing+Co, especially when it comes to television advertising. So, when they wanted to promote their new World and Platinum Mastercards, they had only one call to make.
The cash-back bonus program associated with the cards was central in the messaging. The idea was to remind people that the cards can be used for everyday purchases in addition to larger ones – and that rewards points are generously there for the taking. To get people thinking in terms of more frequent use, we positioned the cards as allies for navigating everyday life. And reinforced the message that cardholders can earn rewards for routine purchases and payments, and for simply being themselves.
